The Fountain of Youth
On April 3, 1513, Ponce de Leon discovered the fabled Fountain of Youth. Visit an archeological park containing foundations and artifacts of the first St. Augustine mission and colony, and sample the famous spring waters.

Castillo de san Marcos National Monument
Constructed from 1672-1695, this impressive fortress defended the city until the mid-1700s and was used as a prison by the British and Americans.
